Chevy Rev It Up
Burn Some Rubber in Chevy’s Latest High-Powered Hardware – For $25 Per Day
No, we’re not talking about the illicit (an increasingly chancy, now that so many rental cars have ‘black box’ recorders on board) thrills of hammering a rental – this is the real deal, organized by Chevy with helmets, cones and, yes, safety monitors. But still a chance to put the pedal to the metal on the 2007 models of your dreams.

The Chevrolet “Rev It Up 2007: Where Drivers Come To Play” events are a full day of competition and fun geared towards the true automotive enthusiast. The entry fee for competitors is just $25, and there is no admission charge for friends and spectators at the six-city celebration of car culture.
Rev It Up 2007 is a true playground for car lovers. It is the “World’s Largest Performance Driving School and National Racing Competition,” in which experienced racers and amateurs alike compete for the title of “Rev It Up National Champion” and a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette. Additionally, six regional winners will receive two days of instruction at the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving.

Rev It Up 2007 gives car enthusiasts – spectators and competitors – a chance to immerse themselves in all things automotive, including taking a ride in a 505-horsepower Corvette Z06 for a “Time Attack” run, testing reaction time and car control in an acceleration and braking contest, racing friends in an Enduro Kart competition, driving the 2007 Corvette and the rest of Chevrolet’s performance lineup on a custom-designed course, checking out the cars in the tuner/car display area, and experiencing the hottest music and latest automotive technology at the Chevy Pavilion – including an up close look at the dramatic Camaro Concept.
Rev It Up 2007 will tour six major metropolitan areas in July and August – San Francisco, Orange County (CA), Houston, Orlando, New York and Washington D.C. (see below schedule for exact dates). The entry fee for the national competition – with a new Corvette awarded to the national champion – will be just $25. Other “behind the wheel” activities, including Enduro Kart racing, will be offered at a minimal cost. Space is limited, so pre-registration is strongly suggested.
“Where else but Rev It Up can you spend the day racing, driving and experiencing the best that Chevy has to offer?” said Ed Peper, Chevrolet Marketing General Manager. “It’s a great combination of competition and car show, where automotive enthusiasts can hone their skills and test their precision and control in our performance vehicles at an incredible enthusiast’s day camp.”
