2008 Honda Civic Tour Features Panic At The Disco

For the past seven years, the Honda Civic Tour (HCT) has been acclaimed as a "must see" music tour, and this year is no exception. Following the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, Pretty. Odd., on March 25, Panic At The Disco will be ready to take the wheel as 2008 HCT headliners.
They begin their nationwide tour April 10 in San Francisco at the Warfield (see all dates below). Panic will be joined on the annual spring outing by Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound and Phantom Planet.

Honda Civic Tour general on-sale begins Feb. 2 in select cities. Beginning Jan. 30, fans will have a chance to scoop up be pre-sale tickets by visiting http://www.hondacivictour.com
"Last year we actually did a spur-of-the-moment acoustic set at the Vegas date of the Civic Tour," said Ryan Ross of Panic At The Disco. "So it's awesome to be playing every show this year."
A key perk of the HCT headlining gig is the opportunity to customize a Honda Civic Hybrid that's subsequently won by an extremely lucky fan. Panic At The Disco unveiled their one-of-a-kind creation at a press event held at American Honda headquarters earlier this month. This special car -- which has been autographed by the band, making it the ultimate in memorabilia -- will be showcased at each stop along the HCT, where concertgoers can enter to win it.

Starting in February, fans will also be able to register for a shot at Panic's green machine by visiting http://www.hondacivictour.com. No purchase is necessary to enter. Entry is limited to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia 18 years or older.
This year's Honda Civic Tour is rolling out an environmental action plan in which tickets themselves will equal action: For every Honda Civic Tour Panic At The Disco ticket purchased, $1 will go into a fund designated for nonprofit tour partners Reverb and Global Inheritance. Selected by Panic At The Disco, Reverb (a leader in the "greening" of concert tours) and Global Inheritance (a champion of progressive causes with a tight connection to youth subcultures) are collaborating to engage audiences in fun, fan-friendly, interactive exhibits during the tour. Additionally, this collective will make a substantial contribution -- in the name of The 2008 Honda Civic Tour with Panic At The Disco -- to a cause to be determined by the end of the tour. The beneficiary will be selected on merit and its potential to have a lasting impact on the generation-defining environmental movement.
